MERWA is chapter #145 of the Romance Writers of America®. We are a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the professional interests of career-focused romance writers, by providing support, education, recognition, and resources to our published and unpublished members.

Our monthly meetings offer workshops and networking. Other chapter programs include a monthly newsletter, listservs, a media library, a critique program, support for published authors' new releases, Camp Brainstorming, MERWA Writers Retreat, and the MERWA Synopsis Contest.

Membership in MERWA is open to members in good standing of RWA®.
