Maine RWA is a recognized chapter of Romance Writers of America® and as such, membership in RWA is required to become a member of Maine RWA. Proof of membership is required with our membership application.
Maine RWA strongly supports our members through education, advocacy, networking, support and recognition of the romance genre. Benefits of membership include our newsletter Mainely Romance, our email list, our networking and support meetings, our extensive tape library, and our interesting and educational workshops.
Initial membership dues are $30.00 and drop to $25.00 annually after the first year. Dues are required in January.
New members joining after September 1 the cost is prorated to $15.00. Please make any checks out to MERWA and completed forms go to Treasurer, MERWA, P.O. Box 776, Brunswick, Maine 04011-0776.
Our published members enjoy the benefit of exposure for their work through our workshops and conferences, as well as our newsletter. We offer mentoring through our critiquing service and email list serve and continued education through our monthly meetings. Also, all members have the benefit of the resources offered by our members, as well as the extended knowledge that comes with being a part of a larger organization such as RWA.
